Experience leading the technical development of platform systems and/or subsystems elements of an entire Avionics development project. (Capturing system requirements through Validation & Verification)
Experience managing a group of systems and/or software engineers within an Avionics development project.
Working with the Program Manager to create and maintain estimates of schedule, budget and staffing while ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
Pursuit/bid leader for proposals and/or customer requested budgetary estimates.
Knowledge in the areas of Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost Account Management (CAM), Change Management and Risk Management (RM).
Ability to report overall engineering performance to plan as appropriate.
Ability to analyze data and determine appropriate actions to correct real problems before they impact overall program.
Ability to mentor other Platform Engineers (PE).
Ability to work with the end user customer in a professional manner and represent Collins Aerospace to the customer in the absence of the VSL.

Experience and ability to effectively use DOORS, JAMA, JIRA and ALM tool suite.

This position requires an intimate knowledge of Collins Aerospace Avionics Engineering processes and tools, and the ability to manage projects.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

Experience with Fighter, Bomber and/or Trainer aircraft platforms

Prior Pro Line Fusion Avionics experience.
