    Summary

    Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) engineering module is seeking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineering (P3) professional.

    The project engineer supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage task budget and schedule in accordance with program negotiated deliverables.

    • Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and Pratt & Whitney management.

    • Assist in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOE) for government proposals.

    • Monitor progress, identifies, and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.

    • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.

    • Work closely with cross discipline team members to develop plans to execute key raw material characterization plans.

    • Develop and execute Material Readiness level assessments for new materials and manufacturing processes.

    • Performs risks assessments and develop mitigation plan as needed.

    • Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

    • Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

    • Coordinate supplier activities to meet program cost, schedule, and performance metrics.

    • Prepare and present EV status of all tasks that require EVMS.

    • Travel of less than 10%

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industry; OR Advance degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.

    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

    • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Person Status is required due to government contracts.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering strongly preferred.

    • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, or ability and willingness to get one.

    • Basic understanding the P&W Leadership Operating Model (LOM) or similar.

    • Organizational and project management skills (PMP certification preferred).

    • Demonstrated ability to lead and influencing teams in strategic projects and initiatives.

    • Resourcefulness with ability to find solutions and solve complex problems (both vendor- and customer-facing).

    • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics for broad audience.

    • Continuous Improvement experience, and/or LEAN, CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training.

    • Willingness to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

    • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Solumina, SAP, Teamcenter, etc.
