Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work within the Program Technical Office supporting the A220/E190 programs. You will be responsible for managing technical change package content, cost tracking of projects. In addition, you will be responsible for communicating with internal and external customers and engineering leadership on a global level. You will have visibility to engineering leadership and reporting to the Program Technical Manager of A220. You will be part of a global team that is supporting Collins parts and components on all planes flying.

The position is working in a Hybrid capacity, a mix of working onsite and remote from home, at our Chula Vista CA facility. Relocation assistance is available.

Primary Responsibilities

• Independently plan and support project tasks and activities
• Participates in defining engineering approaches
• Prepares or directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects
• Work in team-oriented environment with all levels within the organization, across functions and with customers.
• Driving consistent project execution with written process documentation that is understandable for those with limited technical background.
• Support technical deliverables
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage multiple tasks at any one time
• Travel up to 5% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit
• Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and typically a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and typically a minimum 3 years of experience
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
• Experience with Project Engineering Management (including experience using project cost/schedule/budget management tools)
• Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace Industry experience
• 3D modeling software: CATIA V5
• MS Project
• Experience with Visual Basic/Excel Macros
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI)-Lean, Six Sigma or ACE/CORE
• Experience communicating and making/delivering presentations to engineering leadership and external/internal customers.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
