    Raytheon Intelligence & Space has an opportunity for a Senior Quality Inspector with hands-on hardware quality inspection experience to become a key part of Mission Assurance Team in a busy manufacturing environment located in Goleta, CA.  Our Mission Assurance Team ensures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.

    As a Senior Quality Inspector, you are a key member of the quality manufacturing support team for final product acceptance, including hands-on inspection and presentation of deliverable hardware to the internal and external customer representatives.

    Roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

    • Hands-on work with inspection methodology for electro-mechanical assemblies and interpretation of MIL, IPC and ANSI specifications and drawing interpretation to make confident quality dispositions of suspect non-conformances.
    • Physical inspection review of deliverable hardware as well as build documentation as required by process, technical data package, and contractual flow down.
    • Serving as the liaison between quality management and customers for the final sale of deliverable hardware.
    • Logging, tracking, and keeping quality inspection records.

    ​****U.S. Citizenship required, as the candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

    Required Skills:

    • 8 years of general hardware quality inspection experience.
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with acceptance and rejection criteria for general quality workmanship.
    • Experience working with assembly build processes, quality notes, interpreting drawings and/or contractual flow down.
    • Experience performing quality inspections using inspection tools and equipment (such as microscope, calipers, gages, and micrometers).

    Desired Skills:

    • Previous experience with manufacturing electronic and mechanical assemblies (including electro-mechanical components).
    • Experience working with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
    • Working knowledge of industry technical quality standards (such as MIL-STD-105, J-STD-001, IPC-A-610), preferred J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 Certification.
    • Experience working in a represented workforce environment.
    • Electro-mechanical manufacturing and quality background
    • Experience with performing quality vendor, receiving, first article, and in-process inspections.
    • Experience presenting deliverable hardware assemblies to DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) for final hardware acceptance.
    • ASQ Certified Inspector or related Inspection Certification

    Required Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Desired Education:

    • Associate degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or related experience with training and certifications.
    • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.

    This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

    The salary range for this role is 46,000 USD - 110,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
