Senior Software Development Technician - (ONSITE)

This position is for a seasoned professional in product and test software development and validation, who works independently, measures, analyzes, and defines calibration requirements. Prepares equipment for complex testing. Supports team members as required. Establishes validation standards and develops testing protocols. Documents test results and maintains records for later analysis. Coordinates with other departments who will be affected by testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Test hardware and software focal, working with design engineering team to establish validation standards and develops testing protocols of electrical control systems and electromechanical products.
• Works independently to provide technical support to design engineering on a variety of testing tasks.
• Ensures that systems perform according to necessary specifications on medium to large platforms/projects/systems.
• Defines equipment and architecture for complex testing on medium to large platforms/systems and oversees the preparation of equipment for testing on smaller to medium platforms/projects/systems.
• Provide technical leadership and assist in training team members for testing validation and calibration processes.
• Documents test results and maintains records for later analysis.
• Coordinates with other departments who will be affected by testing.
• Maintains development test setups and equipment.
• Responsible for creation of development and validation test software for new and existing product
• Coordinates with production test to support new product introductions.
• Manages data acquisition efforts via databases

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software development or programming experience
• Maintaining and setting up test equipment experience
• Electronics and or Testing background
• Experience in programming and troubleshooting NI LabVIEW, NI Test Stand, using Microsoft office and associated database software preferred
