    Job Summary:

    The Senior Software Engineer - Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis will work within a multi-discipline team (e.g., signal processing, mechanical design, electrical design) to design and develop simulation models of differing fidelity which represent the components of a system. This requires the ability to read, debug, edit and create computer programming code to enhance simulation models, creating and executing unit tests on the models to verify functionality, documenting the design and test results, and integrating with other component models in a complex system simulation environment.

    This position is a full-time on-site position that could be in Tewksbury, Woburn, or Marlborough, Massachusetts based on latest staffing demand at those sites.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • You will develop, execute and analyze simulations in a high-performance computing environment, which can include the use of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), to support radar system design/trade studies, performance assessment, and system test.
    • You will work within a team to develop analysis of the data for the specific task as well as provide insight and understanding of the system performance, recognizing, and troubleshooting any anomalies observed in the simulation results.
    • You will ensure the solutions provided meet their defined requirements and function as needed through rigorous verification and validation.  This activity utilizes data from a number of sources up to and including system level testing. 
    • You will assist with integrating high-fidelity radar simulations into federations managed by other US Government organizations

    Please note:  We are not seeking engineers with an AutoCAD or 3-D modeling background or network modeling from an IT perspective.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or a related degree.
    • In addition to the above degree, typically requires five (5) years of documented work experience in the following areas (A Master’s Degree will satisfy 2 years of work experience and a PhD will satisfy the work experience):
      • Experience with MATLAB for data analysis
      • Experience programming in C, C++, Java, or Python
      • Experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Experience with object-oriented programming with proficiency in Linux or Unix
    • Experience in radar signal processing, radar tracking, and electronic protection
    • Experience in environmental clutter and RF propagation phenomenology and modeling
    • Experience with classification and machine learning techniques
    • Knowledge of physics, random variables, and its application to solving engineering problems.
    • Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
    • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
