Senior Supervisor Manufacturing / Operations (Onsite)

Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing/Operations.  We’re looking for a passionate professional to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level test cell employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals.  Manages test cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures all quality related items for multiple test cells are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
• Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple test cells to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
• Plans and executes scheduling for multiple test cells to meet production schedules.
• Guides the sequencing of work, such as unit testing, test stand maintenance and stand build ups to optimize productivity.
• Maintains and completes daily test schedules.
• Manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells to maximize productivity.
• Guides production innovation to enhance production capabilities.
• Oversees test cell production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), works with maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel.
• Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
• Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
• Provides back-up for other shop floor supervisors.
• Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
• Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous test cell experience is preferred.
• Previous fabrication experience is preferred.
• Previous Operations/Supervisory experience is preferred.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
