    Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supervisor, Quality Engineering to ensure that the quality of Collins suppliers, products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving.

    The position is located in Riverside, CA and is 100% onsite

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of bargaining unit Inspectors in day-to-day production operations.

    • Lead a team of Quality Engineers in day-to-day operations.

    • Supervises Quality Clinic management processes, problem solving approaches, root cause analysis methods and tools, and develops proposals for corrective action of trends and significant events associated with internally produced products & processes.

    • Sets day-to-day goals and objectives for team members. Daily problems faced may be difficult, but typically are not complex.

    • Explains policies, practices, and procedures.

    • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.

    • Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product.

    • Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.

    • Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.

    • Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).

    • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.

    • Performs escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products and processes.

    • Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.

    • Designs and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.

    • Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.

    • Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

    • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

    • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

    • Experience working and interacting on a manufacturing shop floor

    • Working experience of Quality and Continuous Improvement tools

    • Experience communicating and making presentations to senior level leadership.

    • Experience with AS9100 requirements

    • Experience with MS Excel and creating MS PowerPoint presentations

    • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in a central quality or manufacturing organization

    • Experience leading RRCA’s

    • Experience with SAP, CATIA etc.

    • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent or ACE

    • Project Engineering background

    • Experience in aerospace manufacturing

    • APQP experience (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

    • Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM))

    The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
