The Senior Supply Chain Manager leads and coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects/programs and serves as liaison between our Suppliers, commodity management, IPT business leaders, operations, planning and line management. You'll assess operational development issues and develop resolutions to meet production throughput, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. You’ll be responsible for working closely with our suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs.

We need a dedicated individual on our team who develops mechanisms for managing and monitoring organizational improvements that include operational part progress from kitting through shipment and for interventions and problem solving with planning as well as business leaders,  commodity, and functional managers. Ensuring that business process outcomes are in harmony with the organization’s strategic goals, you'll work collaboratively across all departments and levels of the organization and focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance profitability and drives customer satisfaction.

There is a strong preference for this role to be an on-site position based out of Phoenix, AZ or Lenexa, KS. Other preferred locations would be Jamestown, ND, and Union, WV, but a hybrid or remote option may be considered for an ideal candidate. Relocation may be available. Travel expectation would be approximately 25-40% but can fluctuate depending on needs of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, create and lead operational solutions that accomplish specific business objectives.
  • Assist in the developing of a vision of the big picture and implement the enhancements that will drive operational effectiveness is key to organizational business performance leading to overall improvements
  • Drive for results, consistently pursuing continued ways to accomplish goals and objects requires your extraordinary determination, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products that enables the candidate to lead the operational processes improvements as they are implemented within the organization.  Ability to generate and gain opportunities to break functional, operational, & logistical barriers faced with resolving Supplier issues while getting products out the door
  • Develop and/or modify operation's plans and develop and implement solutions with functional organizations to reveal and remove barriers toward business goals specific to the organization
  • Possess knowledge of and positively influence both our supplier and our organization’s culture
  • Possess strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts leading to organizational change
  • Passion for results and ability to build relations with various partners
  • Ability to make timely decisions
  • Benchmark and analyze various business processes
  • Working with multiple projects and interact with several departments and various levels of management simultaneously
  • Manage / assist with process improvement projects, prioritizes project work, and support the needs of ACE operating system
  • Utilizes project management approach and process improvement discipline to lead multi-level projects according to plan, including identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Gather feedback and work to identify new improvement projects
  • Implement improvement opportunities across our business

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • https://U.S. Person (https://U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  • Master’s degree in business or technical field preferred
  • Meaningful experience working with suppliers
  • Strong follow up skills
  • Delivery assurance experience
  • Proven track record of organizing initiatives and processes
  • Ability to craft and present clear communication to multiple levels of leadership
  • Build positive relationships
  • Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • ​Experience with a variety of commodities is ideal
  • Aerospace experience
