    Job Summary:

    The Systems Integration and Test's Missile Defense Programs Department currently has an opportunity for a talented engineer to provide operational technical support for deployed AN/TPY-2 Radars on the Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) program.
     

    The Missile Defense Programs Department provides system engineering, integration, test and sustainment expertise to the radar, sensors, and ship systems programs within Raytheon Missiles and Defense. In this role, you will perform analysis and reporting of radar performance and maintenance support developing troubleshooting and corrective action plans for a range of system issues spanning the mechanical, electrical, microwave, software, and cyber security aspects of the radar. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, logisticians, and maintenance planners. You will interact with the CLS program management team and the customer.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Plan, track, coordinate, and report on all CLS sustaining engineering activities for assigned Radar(s)
    • Provide detail for the integrated master schedule for radar activities which require engineering support
      • Maintenance event planning with site team, Logistics, and Maintenance Planning
         
    •  Track open issues awaiting Engineering input
      • Work with engineering SMEs to determine root cause and corrective actions
      • Create procedures for corrective action implementation and troubleshooting
      • Notify maintenance planner and site maintenance lead of new information and when complete. 
      • Notify Logistics of new material requirements.
         
    • Create and update internal and external Health and Status reports for radars
    • Periodically participate in on-call schedule to support 24/7 operations for our deployed systems
    • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 20%
       

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of prior relevant experience
    • Experience with creating corrective action plans, test scripts, and/or conducting performance analysis
    • Experience with root cause analysis of radar systems and interoperability
    • Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming language
    • Experience with COTS servers, networking hardware and a Linux operating system environment
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Experience as a radar systems engineer with one or more of the following: developing radars or radar sub-systems, operating radars, testing, and troubleshooting radars, developing software for radar systems
    • Familiarity X-Band radar technology (such as AN/TPY-2, SBX, etc.)
    • Experience in development, analysis or test on radar systems, signal processing, electro-optical systems, or components
    • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and analyze large sets of system performance data

    Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
