    Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Technician, Research & Technology (R&T) to support projects within our Thermoset, Thermoplastics, Certification Support, High Temperature Composites, and Prototypes/Demonstrators teams.

    Position works 100% onsite in our Riverside, CA manufacturing facility

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Assembling composite panels across various groups

    • Supporting equipment technology development amongst the groups

    • Operating robotic systems in the manufacturing of composite parts

    • Responsible for the set up and operation of various shop machinery (i.e., drill presses, manual machining mills, waterjet, bandsaw and manual lathes, etc.)

    • Assist in the development of manufacturing processes.

    • Daily interaction and support of Engineers and other Technicians during operations.

    • Provide process and project status updates to Leadership

    Basic Qualifications

    • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR

    • In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

    • Current operational experience working in a manufacturing environment.

    • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Composite layup experience

    • Ability to work with hand tools, including power tools, air, and pneumatic powered tools.

    • Ability to utilize shop equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, band saws.

    • Knowledge and ability to work with automated equipment (i.e., robots, 3D printers, etc.) is a plus
