    Job Summary:

    Raytheon Missiles & Defense seeks a highly motivated, System Administrator for a position in the Sensors Test Solutions (STS) Department.  This role would be responsible for supporting the long-term sustainment and future design activities surrounding network/ test equipment and its integration into multiple production and engineering test assets.  You will be working with other STS engineers and supporting organizations in a dynamic environment to integrate new capabilities onto these systems.

    STS is a cross functional team of multi-disciplined engineers who enjoy being a part of the entire product development life cycle. STS works with a wide variety of assembly levels ranging from CCA to sub-assemblies to full systems. You will join a hands-on development team that fosters engineering excellence and creativity and takes pride in seeing the end product in the hands of the customer.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Provide on demand factory support to networking/server equipment as required

    • This role entails a holistic approach to manage the blending of software, hardware, networks, and cybersecurity inherent in Test Equipment (TE) systems. You will be responsible for providing:

    • system administration of multiple systems

    • system support and design consultation for Test Environments and Test Equipment across all product lines.

    • A normal day consists of:

    • system administration of test systems and support of daily requests for configuration changes or data requests

    • system imaging configuration, data recovery, diagnostics

    • obsolescence management

    • long term design and sustainment of systems and unique solutions in multiple heterogeneous systems.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 (five) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 (three) years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 (nine) years of relevant experience is required

    • Experience with network infrastructure architecture and/or operation (such as Active Directory, group policy design, file sharing, NIS, and/or DNS)

    • Experience in SQL server database development and/or maintenance

    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Experience programming in C

    • User account management, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software installation and support

    • NI CVI LabWindows Software Development   

    • Support of legacy VMS Operating System Servers during the migration to Windows Server environment.

    • Knowledge of Network Architecture, Server-Client configurations, Perl Scripts, and Visual Basic.

    • Demonstrated experience scripting in Windows and Linux

    • Have command of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
