Avionics Test Engineering is seeking to fill an Engineering Intern position with a talented individual who is working toward a BSEE, BSCmptrE or BSSwE degree.
Test Engineering offers an array of innovative test equipment solutions for Collins Aerospace products and programs. We serve internal customers, including our manufacturing and service centers, as well as external customers – domestic and international.
SEPP Interns will be on a team responsible for developing a software utility that would perform regular maintenance on a test station to ensure system up time and performance. This utility would allow our production operators to keep their test stations operating at peak performance.
In the typical consumer / industrial computer realm, regular maintenance is performed to ensure system up time and performance. Both hardware and software maintenance need to be performed.
Tasks such as these should be performed regularly:
Clearing the Cache
Purge system of junk files and programs
Perform a hard drive cleanup
Defragmenting the hard drive
Monitor status of RAID system
Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to the success of a cross-functional team
Develop automated test software and user interfaces
Verify design is accurate, repeatable, and reliable
Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management, and customers
Plan and manage tasks effectively
Software skills in C++ and C# are a plus
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
