    The Whole Life Engineering (WLE) Directorate provides effective and affordable design support and optimal sustainment solutions. Working closely with members of both design and user communities, our highly skilled practitioners use cutting edge technologies and tools to sustain and support RMD products. WLE’s diverse disciplines include Reliability Engineering, System Safety Engineering, Human Systems Integration, Sustainment Architecture, Integrated Logistics Support and Supportability / Sustainment Engineering. These disciplines work together with our programs and external partners to develop innovative and customer focused solutions in order to produce reliable, safe and sustainable products.

    Job Summary:
    As a Section Lead for Naval Power – Integrated Surface & Undersea Systems working with ship electronics sustainment, you will have Section Leadership responsibilities involving the leadership, administration, and career development of Section members. 

    Your team will include multiple WLE disciplines and will primarily support Naval Integrated Solutions programs focusing on Shipboard electronic system installation and integration within the following Engineering disciplines:

    • USN Shipboard Installation and Troubleshooting
    • Parts, Risk Management and Obsolescence
    • Spares Management
    • Material Procurement
    • Project Engineering or Leadership

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    As a Section Leader you’re responsible for the following:

    • Employee performance development and assessment for 15-20 employees
    • Employee productivity improvement
    • Budgeting and manpower planning
    • Cost proposal and EAC preparation.

    Additional responsibilities will include the following employee-focused areas:

    • Employee performance development and assessment
    • Employee growth, productivity improvement, and recognition
    • Budgeting and manpower planning
    • Personnel issue resolution
    • Ensuring compliance with company policies/procedures
    • Ensuring all personnel are properly prepared and trained for the scope of their tasks and leveraging best practices across all programs.

    Some travel may be required.  Approximately  5% Domestic

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    Typically Requires: 

    • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and 5 years’ relevant experience may be considered for this role. In absence of a Bachelor's degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
    • Engineering experience including any of the following:
      • Shipboard systems support, trouble shooting, installation and/or test
      • COTS integration and/or Life Cycle maintenance and development
      • Integrated Logistics Support including provisioning, maintenance planning, Life Cycle Cost Modeling, obsolescence management, Logistics Management Information (LMI) and/or Level or Repair Analysis (LORA)
    • EVMS experience or experience integrating project cost, schedule, risk and progress
    • Experience with proposals, project, or program management·        
    • Leadership experience
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.  US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
