Role Overview

The RTX Cyber Defense Group is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence team as a social media and threat Intelligence analyst. The successful candidate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, planning, coordinating, and executing open-source and social media threat intelligence collection and analysis operations to provide operationally actionable intelligence in support of RTX cyber defenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a social media and threat Intelligence analyst, produce timely threat intelligence reporting, and providing support to other functions and teams within Cybersecurity Services.
  • Assess the credibility of data sources, record research steps, and provide appropriate framing and citations for information reported.
  • Provide clear oral and written communication and be prepared to brief client executives, security, and legal staff.
  • Author well researched, objective, and concise cyber threat intelligence reports on technical topics related to Nation State and eCrime threat actor groups.
  • Collaborate with team members in an ever-evolving digital environment.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in social media monitoring and analysis. Aptitude for clear and effective written and verbal communications under time-sensitive conditions, Ability to assess information quickly and accurately for credibility, relevance, and complete objectives in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Exceptional open-source intelligence research skills, with at least three years of OSINT experience.
  • Strong preference for a proficiency in Python or methods for automating OSINT; experience using tools and programs such as Shodan, Goggle Dorks, TOR and Maltego; relevant OSINT or PI training and certifications.
  • An ability to manage indicators of compromise and enrich them through premium and open-source tooling.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed.
  • Should have strong communication skills and be able to prepare and present well written papers, briefings, and other materials to RTX senior cyber leadership across the enterprise.
  • Should have a demonstrated ability to form coalitions amongst disparate groups, be able to produce thorough and precise documentation, and have sound decision making skills.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the intelligence cycle.

Education:  

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 3 years experience.

Location:

  • This position will be in the United State. This is a hybrid position requiring periodic onsite work and meetings as necessary at RTX offices.
