    This software engineering position is within the Simulation and Training Solutions (STS) business area. STS develops and builds air and ground vehicle, flight and maintenance training simulators for military and commercial customers. Devices range in complexity from desktop training all the way up to high fidelity weapon systems and full-flight training systems including full visual, motion and simulator interoperability.

    We are seeking a candidate to assist with the design, documentation, development, debug and test of real time for Vehicle Systems such as Aero/Ground Dynamics, Propulsion, Electrical, Hydraulics, Fuel, Auto Flight and Motion Cueing are developed.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the design, development, implementation, testing and debugging of real time software applications and associated user interfaces
    • Contribute to engineering design documentation
    • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with peers and management 
    • Perform in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification and validation for products and sub-systems
    • Contribute to software engineering requirements capture, analysis and creation for well-defined software designs
    • Support and enhance existing software products as necessary
    • Experience with developing applications in Linux/Windows environments; programming experience with .NET, WPF, C#, C++, Visual Studio
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Must have previous experience with C, C++, or C#
    • In person support in our Binghamton facility to work in secure lab
    • Willing to travel up to 25% of their time

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen

    • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
