Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking a software engineer for its Intelligent Software Systems group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Part of a larger group based in Cambridge, MA, this team includes highly trained and experienced scientists and engineers with expertise in diverse disciplines including computer vision, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, modeling, and simulation, and more. The skill set and experience of a new hire will overlap and extend the capabilities of the existing team.
The successful candidate will initially support a railway inspection platform that utilizes a variety of sensors fused together and analyzed by a suite of classic computer vision algorithms. Development and support ranges from on-vehicle user interfaces and safety inter-locks, distributed processing, visual pose and navigation algorithms, processing, heuristics, report generation, and sophisticated end-user analysis tools. Most development in this project is done in C#. As their career progresses, successful candidates will be encouraged to assist in identification and nurturing of new research and development opportunities in this and other domains.
