Job Summary:

Here at RMD, we specialize in air and missile defense, large-land, and sea-based radars, and systems for managing command, control, and communication. Our SPE team consists of more than 2200 software engineers with a central focus on real-time software development, integration, testing, and validation activities. This is how we do our part in keeping our country safe.

We are seeking Software Engineers to join our software development teams located in Tewksbury MA. The candidate will be responsible for developing new capability, maintaining, debugging and fixing problems with the SW application, as well as supporting integration efforts. The SW application is built on a Linux/UNIX platform, utilizing mainly C++/JAVA programming languages.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Converting software requirements and specifications into logical design artifacts, development of software code, unit testing of code, and analysis of software defects

• Support generation of documentation to include: software development folders, design presentations, and problem reports

• Integration of software from multiple SW IPTs

• Determine failure root cause, develop, design and implement solutions

• Analyze system performance vs. technical requirements, research and make SW/Systems improvement recommendations

• Able to travel periodically to support integration sites

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 2+ years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 6 years of experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience

• Experience with a modern software language (such as C, C++, or Java). 

• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Experience using Unix or Linux Operating Systems 

• Prior SCRUM/Agile Development experience

• Familiarity with the following SW Tools: JIRA, GIT/ClearCase, DOORS, MATLAB, Jenkins, Google Test

• Self-starter and ability to lead development, integration and test activities

• Command and Control, Radar or Weapons system, Cyber Security domain knowledge

• Experience with Collaborator or other source code review tool
