    Job Summary:

    As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working DevOps as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile Scrum Team participating in the development of the Radar Test Contract (RTC) Open Systems Architecture Sensor Models (OSM).

    You will also be part of a larger Raytheon Modeling & Simulation team within the Algorithm & Simulation Directorate, which provides, develops, and maintains high fidelity performance simulations, executes system performance analysis (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), aids new business initiatives and develops & executes technology roadmaps.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • You will work in an Agile Scrum environment supporting multiple teams in a DevOps capacity for the Algorithms and Simulation Department on-site at Schriever SFB, CO
    • You will work on the maintenance and configuration of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), build tools, DevOps platform, and new / existing internal tools
    • You will maintain and enhance the internal testing framework
    • You will be responsible for tool configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and automation
    • You will help develop our containerization strategy and our migration into containers

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM Degree
    • With the above degree, this position requires two (2) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas (an advanced degree can satisfy up to three years of work experience):
      • Documented experience on a DevOps software team using Linux
      • Experience using configuration of build tools such as CMake, Ninja, and/or Apache Ant
      • Experience using DevOps platforms such as GitLab
      • Experience maintaining and configuring Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
      • Experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Experience with building compiled languages such as C++ and Java
    • Experience using RESTful APIs, such as the GitLab API
    • Experience with YAML and JSON Data serialization / configuration formats
    • Code repo management using Git
    • Containerization tools such as Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
    • Configuration of Linters
    • Tool configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and automation (i.e. GitLab, VS Code, Jira, and Fortify)
    • CompTIA Security+ certification
    • Experience working with SQL databases
    • Documentation generation and automation using LaTeX

    The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
