Job Summary:

Here at RMD, we specialize in air and missile defense, large-land, and sea-based radars, and systems for managing command, control, and communication. Our SPE team consists of more than 2200 software engineers with a central focus on real-time software development, integration, testing, and validation activities. This is how we do our part in keeping our country safe.

We are seeking Software Integration Engineers to join our Software Integration Team. We integrate software developed in C++ and C. Candidates can expect to work on many if not all the phases of the software development life cycle. In this position, you will be responsible for providing practical solutions to difficult technical software problems. You can expect to support multiple programs and multiple platforms within a software product line. Software Engineering positions include working on a variety of different tasks including real-time software development, application software development, test and verification, data analysis and software tools development. A person who is successful in this role understands and utilizes agile software development methods, automation, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Support and Improvement of our DevSecOps Pipeline.  This role requires passion to drive improvement via test automation, creative solutions and elimination of non-value steps.
• Ability to handle emergency situations that stop the pipeline and need to be addressed quickly and efficiently. 
• Productive in a collaborative team setting working with engineers of all levels.
• Ability to debug and correct stability issues in our many software baselines.
• Perform integration and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools that run on a Linux operating system. 
• Maintenance and enhancement of tooling infrastructure.
• Possible opportunities to travel domestic and international.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 2+ years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 6 years of experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience.
• Experience with a modern software language (such as C, C++, or Java).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

• Experience with DevSecOps and test automation using Jenkins and Grafana for virtualization.
• Experience with ClearCase or other configuration management tool.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Perl, Bash, Kornshell.
• Experience with Collaborator or other source code review tool.
• Experience with Coverity or other static analysis tool.
• Experience with GIT, Jira, Artifactory, BitBucket, Coverity, Grafana.
• Experience with Matlab.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
