If so, we have a great opportunity for you within the Patriot Fielded Systems and Validation Department in Tewksbury Massachusetts. Patriot is the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently developing, integrating, and validating software in support of new system capabilities.
Job Summary**:**
As a Section Leader you will be an integral part of line management responsible for a team of engineers within the Department with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. You will be responsible for activities such as performance development and appraisal, salary and staffing planning and ensuring adherence to company policies. Being a member of the team, you will contribute significantly to the technical oversight of employees in support of their work assignments as well as be responsible for supporting a major program task within the Patriot program, including a possible leadership or key individual contributor role. The candidate will be an integral part of the team and will also be involved in development, integration, test, and/or user support. The job requires a well-disciplined individual with a proven applicable technical background, who is able to thrive in a dynamic agile environment and is able to work well in a team setting.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement
Contribute to the technical oversight of employees in support of their daily work assignments
Performance development and appraisal
Salary and staffing planning
Ensuring the adherence to company policies and the communication of company and program information
Responsible for supporting a major program task within the Patriot domain
Support to integration efforts and customer meetings, for which some travel may be required
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or other relevant STEM degree. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience
8+ years’ experience in technical software design and development OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of experience.
Experience with software development techniques and tools, including some, or all, of the following computer languages: C and Ada
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:

Cost / Schedule Management and Reporting experience

Experience with software validation techniques and tools
