Sr Antenna Design Engineer (onsite)

Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) has an exciting career opportunity for an Antenna Engineer to join our Specialty Apertures and Radomes Section in the Antenna Products Department.   This position will be located in McKinney, TX and will support a diverse portfolio of internally and externally funded research and technology development activities.   The engineer will use computational electromagnetics analysis software to design and predict performance of state-of-the-art antennas, radomes, phased array antennas and low observables.  Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with a highly qualified multi-disciplinary team to build and test their designs.

Required Skills:

•Experience with the design of antennas (spiral, Vivaldi, slot, horn, ect) and/or phased array antennas.

•Experience with the design of RF components (frequency-selective surfaces, power dividers, couplers, connector transitions, meta-surfaces, etc.).

•Proficiency with modeling & simulation using ANSYS Electronics Desktop (HFSS).

•Proficiency to import and process data in MATLAB.

•Experience with antenna testing, return loss, mutual coupling, radiation pattern sect.

Desired Skills:

•Knowledge of Printed Wiring Board (PWB) or printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication processes and design rules.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by publications and student awards

•Design experience using SENTRi, Xpatch, FEKO, CST.

Required Education:     

•BS and 5 years of experience of experience, An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years experience

Desired Education:  

•MS degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in electromagnetics, microwaves, RF or antenna design and a minimum 3 years experience
