    Job Description:

    Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) engineering module is seeking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineering professional.

    This position is for a Project Engineering professional working independently. Support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage task budget and schedule in accordance with program negotiated deliverables.

    • Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and Pratt & Whitney management.

    • Assist in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOE) for government proposals.

    • Monitor progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.

    • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.

    • Work closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.

    • Lead engineering changes execution.

    • Performs risks assessments and develop mitigation plan as needed.

    • Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

    • Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

    • Coordinate supplier activities to meet program cost, schedule, and performance metrics.

    • Prepare and present EV status of all tasks that require EVMS.

    • Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE Operating System tools and support AS9100 efforts.

    • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

    • 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or project management, or 3 years with Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

    • English fluency (verbal and written)

    • US Citizenship due to government contracts

    • Experience with MS Office, MS Project, or other project management tools software

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree on Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

    • Proficiency with Teamcenter and SAP

    • Ability to build positive relationships and craft clear communication

    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

    • Focus on results with the ability to drive tasks to closure

    • Exercise good judgement with professional maturity

    • Availability to travel up to 10%
