The North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine including the Fan/Low Pressure Compressor, High Pressure Compressor, Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure turbine and Mechanical System modules across all of Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. NBEC is co-located with Pratt & Whitney’s largest manufacturing facility.  This specific opportunity is focused providing support to North Berwick’s manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with North Berwick operations to ensure producible part designs and timely disposition of non-conforming material. 
• Work closely with North Berwick raw material suppliers to ensure producible part designs and timely disposition of non-conforming material. 
• Provide engineering liaison function for hardware that is designed outside of NBEC to North Berwick business units.
• Participate in Green Belt/Black Belt/Red-X Specialties projects to identify production challenges, and identify proposed solutions.
• Process engineering changes to improve part producibility, reduce cost, or improve hardware throughput.
• Participate in IPT meetings to transfer production learning into new designs.
• Assist in clearing Work-Stoppages/Escapes.
• Participate in MRL assessments to ensure production readiness.
• Ensure compliance to Pratt and Whitney's engineering process called Engineering Standard Work.
• Drive proposal development, risk mitigation planning, technology development, and associated documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent experience and a minimum 5+ years’ prior relevant experience.
• US Citizenship required due to Government Contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in one of the following engineering disciplines: Design, Project Management or Analysis.
• Proven experience leading teams in the successful execution of tasks to meet technical, schedule and budget requirements.
• Previous experience executing hardware deliveries for rigs or modules.
• Capability to work and lead in collaboration with other non-collocated teams.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles.
• The ability to craft clear communication.
