Job Summary:
Manufacturing Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development programs within Raytheon. Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. The Andover, MA location has over https://1.7 million square feet of manufacturing/production space where product is both assembled and tested.

Primary responsibilities include engagement with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Design, Test, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to manage production issues in the CCA assembly process. Attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and an innovative approach will contribute to success.  The day-to-day responsibilities include resolution of production issues, initiate and contribute to process improvement and cost initiatives, cycle time reduction projects, and develop manufacturing process documentation.  The desired candidate will be capable to work in a dynamic team environment. Extensive, on the job training is provided.

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation

Dispositioning of discrepant hardware

Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence

Participate in process improvement initiatives

Manufacturing process development and maintenance

This position will require interaction across disciplines technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

The ability to obtain and maintain a https://U.S. government issued security clearance is required. https://U.S. citizenship is required, as only https://U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications

Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Specialized Tooling Development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging)

Knowledge and ability to apply CORE continuous improvement principles and techniques

Experience in DFMA

Self-motivated and results oriented

Ability to contribute both in a team setting and individually

Proven written and oral communication

Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude

Adaptability to varying work assignments

Active DoD Clearance (Confidential)

Experience with the development of new manufacturing processes to support volume manufacturing

Experience with supporting a microelectronics assembly production floor
