    Job Summary:

    The Sr. Manager, Program Contracts role will provide strategic Contracts leadership for multiple efforts in a flexible proprietary environment, including competitive pursuits. You will be a working supervisor who will lead two Contracts professionals, with potential for expansion in the near term. This position offers you a broad opportunity to engage in varied contract activities including the execution of a schedule incentivized Engineering and Manufacturing Development contract in which the hardware being produced must meet Manufacturing Maturity Assessment requirements of a factory build to ensure readiness for the follow-on Production contract.

    Responsibilities To Anticipate:

    • Analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), proposal reviews and coordination, contract negotiation, estimate at completion (EAC) reviews,
    • Supporting program management and with execution reviews, I
    • Providing intellectual Property and investment strategy development, and general contract administration.
    • Working closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals.
    • Providing guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues.
    • Ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.
    • Advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, finance, or related field and 10 years of prior experience, OR an Advanced degree and 8 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.
    • Prior experience with US Government contracts
    • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
    • Experience managing development contracts
    • Experience with competitive contracts
    • Experience as a team or program contracts lead
    • Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
    • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust.
    • Experience working is a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective.
    • Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills
    • Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals
    • Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
    • Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
    • Juris Doctor or MBA a plus
