Pratt & Whitney (based in East Hartford, CT) is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the Communications team. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff for Communications, the Senior Manager, Transformation & Enterprise Communications is responsible for the development and implementation of communications strategies to support the company’s Transformation, Strategy, and Digital Technology initiatives and projects. This is a remote role, and can be filled in the United States or Canada.
The individual partners with the Transformation & Strategy office and across the Communications COEs to execute a range of integrated communications plans, content, and strategies to ensure our employees and external stakeholders understand Pratt & Whitney’s transformation and digital journey and future activities. This includes developing and executing globally integrated communication plans, managing key events and processes, and measuring the effectiveness of programs and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic communications support for programs associated with the Pratt & Whitney Transformation & Strategy Office, including Office of the Future (OOTF), Digital Technology (DT), Global Strategy Development (GSD) and Model-based Enterprise (MBE)
Develop, manage and execute communications plans for T&S programs, including internal communications, executive messaging, talking points, announcements, and content development
Deliver executive communications support for the SVP, Transformation & Strategy, and the CIO, assisting with written leadership messages, All Hands events, script generation, and special projects
Support development of strategic content and messaging around Pratt & Whitney’s Office of the Future (OOTF) initiatives; manage comprehensive communications plan and assist in development of talking points, responses to Q&A, internal communication and announcements, executive messaging, and content for OOTF microsite
Manage development of content for the Digital Technology weekly newsletter, including articles for the Pratt & Whitney intranet
Closely partner with Human Resources and change management team on development of employee-focused change communication
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred fields include Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field with at least 10 years' of relevant experience
At least 3 years' of management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience interacting with and influencing executive and senior leaders
Prior experience working across organizational levels: guiding colleagues, supervising staff and counseling executives
Project management experience with ability to lead/manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight timeframes, prioritize and flex when there are shifts in direction
Proficiency with the most recent versions of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft O365 and Teams
