    The Military Repair Group provides repair design, program management, tool development, source demonstration, and project engineering support for the full range of Pratt & Whitney military engines.

    As a Sr. Military Process Improvement Project Engineer you will be responsible for planning, execution, and tracking Military Repair activities both domestically and internationally.  As a member of the ASE Military Engine Project Engineering team, you will work closely with a fully cross functional team, inclusive of design, structures, part family leads, tooling, and validation, to deliver repair capability to our military customers. In this role, you will also collaborate with the Program Management Office, the Military Repair Council, and Tinker repair development teams to create process improvements for repair related non-conformances. Repair activity within the group spans the F135, F119, F100, F117 and TF33 programs and the project engineer role has core responsibility for planning, scheduling, and coordination of the repair to the committed timeline.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify opportunities and lead process improvement activities for the local Military Repair team, to improve task delivery time.
    • Lead the development of multi non-conformance processes notification and response systems for ASE military engine repair teams.
    • Drive non-conformance priority communication, through coordination between Programs, Customer Service, Engineering and Project Engineering teams.
    • Provide content for development of digital tools to improve overall resolution response time.
    • Coordinate with local management for proper task resolution resource allocation.
    • Interact with fully cross-functional teams to develop issue resolution strategy, that will meet quality standards and customer needs.
    • Lead weekly status level reviews to communicate issue status, next steps, risks to schedule, and potential corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present in customer repair status meetings, progress against plan and commitments.
    • Create process flow maps for issue resolution processes.
    • Create or revise Engineering Standard of Work (EKS) in accordance with latest process requirements, as required.
    • Mentor new team members on issue resolution processes and procedures.
    • Create measurement tools to identify on time delivery goals and current performance.
    • Collaborate with all vested parties to assure on time task delivery.
    • 10% Travel is Anticipated

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
    • 5 years of engineering and operations experience OR Masters Degree and 3 years of engineering and operations experience
    • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

     Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters in Engineering or other technical field of study
    • Gas Turbine Hardware and/or manufacturing experience
    • Demonstrated organization skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Experience or training in electronic software application development
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
    • Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity
    • Certified as a Project Management Professional
    • Excellent Analytical skills
    • Previous participation in various process improvement efforts
