    Sr. Principal Engineer - Product Cyber Engineer (Remote)

    Role Overview:

    The Collins Aerospace Product Cybersecurity Office engineering team is looking for a Senior Principal Engineer focused on leading the advancement of cybersecurity processes, procedures, tools, metrics, and supporting the Collins’ businesses with the implementation and of the secure system development lifecycle through the pursuit, development, delivery and sustainment of products and system solutions.  In support for maturing the Collins cybersecurity culture, capturing product cybersecurity lessons learned, best practices, work instructions and driving for on-going process improvements will also be performed.  The ability to influence and drive change to evolve and mature the cyber culture within Collins will be important.

    The candidate will be expected to have knowledge in the latest commercial and government cybersecurity trends and related policies and regulations. Close coordination with other cross-functional teams, such a Digital Technologies, Supply Chain and the Factory, and with Collins Strategic Business Unit leadership will also be performed.  The candidate must communicate effectively with both internal and external customers and regulators and be able to work independently on a variety of assignments

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Working knowledge of secure systems methodologies, policies and guidelines, coordinate security-related updates into Collins security system development lifecycle and support flow down of these updates to the strategic business unit processes and procedures

    • Knowledge of Collins Management System and Quality Management System, as well as Collins engineering development processes

    • Guide product development adherence to regulator security processes, such as DO-326A / DO-356A Airworthiness Security process as well as other emerging security processes.

    • Establish new cyber metrics to monitor maturing of cyber processes and tools, and work with businesses to collect and track.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

    • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

    • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR

    • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

    • Experienced with commercial and/or DoD policies and processes, such as DO-326A / DO-356A, ATA Spec 42, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI),  DoD 8500.2, NIST 800-53r4 A&A, and NIST Risk Management Framework.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Work effectively in highly collaborative environments, a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and lead technical efforts spanning multiple stakeholders and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as customers and executive leadership.

    • Great communication skills working the cross functional teams

    • Ability to converse clearly with executive leadership

    The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
