    Job Summary:

    The Enterprise Wide Area Network (eWAN) Storage and Data Protection Administrator Subject Matter Expert (SME) will collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient backup and storage environments for a classified WAN supporting multiple need-to-know at geographically disperse locations. Program teams rely on your subject matter expertise and guidance to define backup and storage requirements and maintain end-to-end solutions to support complex DT infrastructure data protection requirements.

    This position is in Tucson, AZ or Tewksbury, MA, with potential for domestic travel. This role is relocation eligible for qualified appllicants.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Use Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to unite two different backup technologies in two datacenters and across programs with different need-to-know to form one solution which meets requirements for disaster recovery, system integrity, monitors computer usage, capacity, growth, and capacity based on Raytheon Technologies' standard architectural solutions.
    • Collaborate with partners to monitor computing usage, capacity, and performance and ongoing growth requirements based on Raytheon Technologies' standard architectural solutions.
    • Utilize preexisting strong background in the architecture of NetApp and Commvault to perform day-to-day break/fix and operations tasks.
    • Integrate and partner with Product Owners, Enclave Level System Administrators, network engineers, Product Leads, and administrators on the program nodes to design and sustain end-to-end solutions based on the program’s requirements consisting of hardware and operating system technologies.
    • Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management. A deep understanding of data storage performance requirements.
    • Ensure server and application compliance with security and performance requirements (DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
    • Install, convert, patch, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware and software supporting the backup and storage environments.
    • Develop, revise, and maintain technical and operational documentation (including procedures) to continually improve our computing environments.
    • Implement your technical competence in multiple areas (such as Windows, Linux, virtualization, User Authentication, DNS, NFS, system imaging/build automation).
    • Assist in developing the overall performance and capability of your technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
    • Experience with NetApp devices and Clustered Data ONTAP or Data ONTAP 7-Mode for data storage arrays such as NetApp FAS and AFF, ONTAP Select, and Cloud Volumes ONTAP as well as Commvault data backup software.
    • Enterprise level experience managing distributed datacenters and multi need-to-know environments
    • Experience in Active Directory and group policy management.
    • Server operating systems including Windows 2K16 server and Windows 2k19 server.
    • An active and in-scope Secret (or higher) US security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Experience with Spectra tape libraries
    • CISSP or CASP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of starting
    • 6+ years experience with NetApp devices and Clustered Data ONTAP or Data ONTAP 7-Mode for data storage arrays such as NetApp FAS and AFF, ONTAP Select, and Cloud Volumes ONTAP as well as Commvault data backup software.
    • UNIX OS including RHEL 6,7, and 8
    • Virtual Desktop Infrastructures such as VMWare
    • Data backup technologies such as NetBackup and Backup Exec
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
    • Desire to learn new skills and troubleshoot issues
    • Strong leadership skills and organizational skills
    • Ability to design, document, and implement backup solutions
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically separated teams
    • Strong understanding of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
