    Job Overview:

    This key quality role will lead site QMS procedure development, procedure issue, training, and compliance.  They will team with the organization to satisfy customer expectations while accelerate technology development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Authors and issues new Quality Management System policies and procedures.  Updates existing procedures.  Trains organization on same.
    • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
    • Supports site AS9100 certification efforts.  Leads/supports internal audits and supports external.
    • Works with designs and specifications, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product.
    • Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect
    • Ensures that projects and process control documents are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
    • Supports Manufacturing Readiness Level progression (both manufacturing and inspection processes)
    • Identifies and manages risk in product development (primarily utilizing and driving Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) core elements e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.). Develops and implements proactive quality strategies.
    • Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action(s).
    • Collaborates with design engineering to improve the producibility of ceramic matrix composite components.
    • Supports the development and maintenance of inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university
    • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or
    • An Advanced Degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience
    • This position requires advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Practical to substantial knowledge of Pratt & Whitney Quality Management Systems is highly desirable.
    • US Citizen due to government contracts

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Six Sigma Greenbelt
    • Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney East Hartford quality systems and specifications
