Job Summary: 

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

Our Effectors team in Tucson, AZ, is looking for senior technical support engineers to work with a team of engineers to execute tests within the laboratories and maintain the test facilities.  Assignments will include lab operations, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, laboratory and scientific systems and/or equipment within the laboratory. 

•    This position is an onsite role.

•    This position is for 2nd shift

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform prototyping or building of cabling and electrical components in support of engineering testing. 
  • Use engineering computer-aided design software to design, update, and release technical data packages. 
  • Operate the engineering development stations including the use of both Windows and Linux operating systems with a focus on thoroughness and repeatability using documented procedures, as well as assisting in developing new procedures. 
  • Provide independent support to operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting during second shift.
  • Obtain and maintain access as required by program
  • Travel to support the program. Travel not expected to exceed 20%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically Requires an AS degree in electronics (or other formal 2-year post high school electronics training) with a minimum of 6 -years relevant experience with electronics builds, checkout and integration.
  • Experience and understanding of circuit troubleshooting, analysis, and characterization techniques. Experience which also includes RF preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of test equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, and oscilloscopes. 
  • Active and transferable https://U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. https://U.S. citizenship is required, as only https://U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  •  Experience training, assigning and checking the work of technical/business support or entry-level professional employees.
  • Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, and electronics maintenance
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using general test equipment.
  • Can operate under minimal supervision and works more independently.
