Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense is seeking a Summer 2023 Intern to work with a variety of programs as a contributor to detailed design, simulation, product development, and initial product testing.
The RF Products Department is currently searching intern candidates who have educational experience and professional interest designing RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters. This role includes design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration. Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programs.
This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
(Freshman Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Sophomore Technical Intern)- must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship
(Junior Technical Intern)- must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship
(Senior Technical Intern)- must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship
Qualifications You Must Have:
Must be a Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate by the start of Summer 2023 in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
Analog or RF design coursework.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Electronics and electromagnetics coursework.
Solid background and practical understanding of RF systems design considerations (to include experience or relevant course work).
Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, System Vision, MATLAB, MathCad, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and Advanced Design System (ADS).
Laboratory experience with electronics.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
