    This position provides 2nd Shift organizational support for Quality Engineering and Outline Inspection Leadership. The candidate will be responsible for leading quality engineering projects as well as our team of outline & source inspectors.

    Onsite:

    • The work associated with this position will be performed onsite

    Primary Responsibilities: 

    • Provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to Escapes, Quality Management System Procedures, Regulations and Compliance.
    • Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards & customer requirements.
    • Provide timely identification, segregation, disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming material.
    • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues.
    • Plan and review First Article Inspection (FAI).
    • Lead or participate in internal and external quality system and/or process audits.  
    • Engage with Engineering and Operations in Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify potential product and process risks and mitigation actions.
    • Lead a team of Outline and Source Inspectors in day-to-day production operations.
    • Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
    • Review staffing and training needed including performance, salary, and career appraisal as well as hiring, retaining and developing new talent.
    • Provide mentorship and direction to close gaps multi-functionally.
    • Monitor the Inspection team's performance and take relevant actions to address issues.

    Qualifications/Experience Needed: 

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices 
    • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience working in manufacturing quality systems
    • Experience working directly with customers or suppliers
    • Knowledge and understanding quality systems such as AS 9100.
    • Working knowledge of engineering specifications and drawings.
    • Experience working root cause corrective actions and investigations
    • Experience with MS Windows – Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
