Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense’s Strategic Sourcing team is seeking uniquely talented leaders to fill this challenging and extraordinarily rewarding role. As a member of the Strategic Sourcing Agreements Team, you will be responsible for architecting supplier strategies and negotiating RMD’s largest and most important agreements spanning the RTX-wide supply base.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As an Agreements Negotiator, you will be a member of multiple Strategic Sourcing Category Teams. In this role, you will be responsible for developing commodity and agreement strategies, preparing and evaluating RFPs, drafting, negotiating and executing agreements with our supply base.
Responsibilities also include fully understanding the commodities, including market conditions and key suppliers within this market. Work will include pricing, teaming, and collaborative agreements along with Memorandum of Understanding and intellectual property licenses.
The ideal candidate will possess the right experience, creativity, and instincts to identify opportunities and then shape agreements that are in the best interest of RMD, our customers, and suppliers by challenging our institutional norms, driving every angle of the deal, and understanding the short-term and long-term impacts of RMD’s collective decisions.
While architecting strategies and negotiations, you will work closely with all stakeholders, inside and outside of Supply Chain, to evaluate feedback and insure alignment. This will require outstanding communication skills – especially the ability to listen to and receive stakeholder input, and to communicate complex matters in a straight-forward, simple manner so decisions are well understood and agreed upon.
This position is hybrid. The candidate must live close to a Raytheon facility (MA, AZ, TX, AL) and be available to be onsite as required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in related field
10+ years of experience including, but not limited to, contracts and/or subcontract management and overall business experience or advance degree in related field + 7+ years of experience
Proven negotiator, either on the sell or the buy side
Expertise in negotiating terms and conditions of purchase, agreements, and licenses
Knowledge of and experience in the areas of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARS), and related laws and regulations affecting government contracting
Experience in developing and/or managing supplier/partner relationships
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong team player, proven problem solver
Experience with Supply Chain processes and functions
Experience working in cross-functional teams or experience with project / program management
Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET or higher security clearance if required by the business
Qualifications we Value:
Experience in Government Contracting, either on the sell or the buy side
Experience with executive level presentations and communications
Advanced cost and price analysis skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Experience developing and executing to project plans
Technical (Engineering) experience or aptitude to gain technical product knowledge
Flexibility to travel when needed
Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years
