Supplier and Operation Support Specialist (Hybrid)

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Supplier and Operation Support Specialist who is ready to drive supplier improvement for the Mechanical Power Conversion product line (gearboxes, air turbine starters, and fuel/oil pumps) as well as manage operational transitions.  This is a hybrid role that may require some domestic and international travel.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with larger Plant 1 team to identify parts/suppliers with the largest “pain” threshold relative to delivery and quality
• Work directly with Supply Chain and suppliers to identify solutions to the delivery/quality issues
• Develop understanding of supply base capabilities and ensure products are a proper fit at the current supplier
• Work with supply base to identify opportunities for cost reduction
• Operation responsibilities include the following:
• Initiate work transfer projects for parts/processes as developed. 
• Serve as MPC transition focal for parts/products being moved into Collins sites.
• Assist Supply Chain with supply side transition of Plant 1 product and track progression.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Knowledge and experience in SAP business systems

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
