This position is for an experienced manufacturing professional, who will work with key Collins Business Unit stakeholders to monitor and control supplier performance, conduct onsite risk assessments, and lead cross functional teams to help key suppliers in issue resolution. This individual will coordinate the identification and resolution of risks / obstacles at suppliers to ensure manufacturing, supply chain, and delivery schedules are in alignment with customer needs. This individual will need to be able to provide technical support to suppliers to resolve manufacturing challenges.
This individual must be based in the New England area (CT, MA, NH, VT).
Primary Responsibilities:
Executes onsite assessments with buyers, quality, and engineering teams to drive supplier improvement.
Uses Supplier Development Playbook and other performance improvement tools to improve key supplier performance to Supplier Gold standards.
Partners with suppliers to identify and remove barriers to the implementation of Continuous Improvement tools to improve on-time delivery and quality.
Monitors and analyzes supplier performance and applies sustainable countermeasures and actions in order to facilitate improvement.
Conducts production readiness assessments for New Product Introduction and rate increases, including capacity confirmation to ensure a timely ramp-up to production volumes.
Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
Engages the management of key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
Coordinates across sites and functional boundaries (Supplier Operations Support) to identify and resolve risks/obstacles in a pro-active and expeditious manner to ensure manufacturing, supply chain and delivery schedules are in alignment with customer needs.
Plans, organizes, directs and reports all activities and matters relating to supplier performance.
Evaluates supplier performance, management, and capacity and production readiness.
Assesses supplier qualifications including training and certifications.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Must be willing and able to day travel 40% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related Business field.
Technical background in machining/castings/forgings or other advanced manufacturing operations.
Experience working in shop floor environment as a manufacturing engineer, industrial engineer, or production supervisor
Demonstrated project management skills and provide examples of past success while leading cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.
Ability to communicate successfully with all levels of leadership both internally and externally.
Background in materials management or master scheduling is a plus.
