    Job Purpose:

    To monitor and improve supplier performance through the reduction of defective product and supplier engagement. The SQE will be assigned multiple suppliers that supply the Medley, FL site which produces seating for the aerospace industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance to Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Engineering on resolution of supplier quality escapes found in the manufacturing facility.
    • Support and develop current suppliers quality systems to improve performance.
    • Work directly with suppliers to implement and verify corrective actions using the 8D process for non-conformance issues.
    • Develop poor performing critical suppliers using various tools such as supplier visits, RCCA (root cause and corrective action, Collins ZDP, and Manufacturing Process Reviews.
    • Develop and implement supplier quality related requirements, specifications, standards, and work instructions.
    • Conduct on site supplier quality assessments to ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements to identify areas for improvement.
    • Identify and require corrective actions resulting from supplier on site quality assessments. Follow up and verify that corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.
    • Perform internal audits to support the Quality Department.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficient in the use of problem-solving tools and the 8D process.
    • In depth knowledge of quality or aerospace standards ISO 9001, AS9100.
    • American Society for Quality CQE or CQA certification.
    • Experience with the FAI or PPAP process.
    • Experienced in facilitating supplier quality development and improvement.
    • Solid project management skills
    • Experience in the following commodities: Die castings, injection molded or vacuum formed plastics, electronics, machined components, stampings, soft goods (leather and vinyl).

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
    • Ability to travel 40%-65% of the time

    The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 to $151,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education and training.
