Job Summary:
The Material Program Manager (MPM) will be responsible for managing Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities in the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) business in support of the SM3 IIA Program Area. This MPM role will serve as the interface between Supply Chain and Integrated Product Teams (IPT) working on and production contracts. Key responsibilities include the following: developing and implementing material strategies, material forecasting, ensuring cost and schedule requirements are met, creating metrics to monitor GSCM health, supplier assessments, and future proposal activities.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
• Lead a team of MPMs
• Drive processes to successful completion in support of a very aggressive schedule of deliveries
• Use critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success
• Successfully operate with minimal oversight, yet readily recognize and escalate when assistance is required
• Easily adapt to strategic and tactical tasks
• Have ability to influence team decisions and outcomes
• Have the ability to work in and experience with a cross-functional team oriented environment
• Have the capability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
• Process information from multiple sources to achieve a successful outcome

Qualifications You Must Have:
• Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, operations, or other similar/related field
• Minimum 8 years of progressive, relevant business experience to include the following:
• Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers or projects
• Experience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
• Prior experience working in the defense industry within the supply chain function
• Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR and DFAR)
• Experience with import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
• Knowledge and experience purchasing complex assemblies for military applications (desirable)
•Have strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated experience managing critical strategic suppliers
• Knowledge and experience purchasing complex assemblies for military applications (desirable)
• Experience making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
• Organizational capabilities and be detail oriented
• Ability to grasp/understand technical concepts and applications
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Typically has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
