    The Whole Life Engineering (WLE) Directorate provides effective and affordable design support and optimal sustainment solutions. Working closely with members of both design and user communities, our highly skilled practitioners use cutting edge technologies and tools to sustain and support RMD products. WLE’s diverse disciplines include Reliability Engineering, System Safety Engineering, Human Systems Integration, Sustainment Architecture, Integrated Logistics Support and Supportability / Sustainment Engineering. These disciplines work together with our programs and external partners to develop innovative and customer focused solutions in order to produce reliable, safe and sustainable products.

    This job is posted as ONSITE and can be based in Huntsville, AL or Tewksbury, MA.

    Job Summary:
    As a Sustainment Integrated Product Team Lead for Land Warfare and Air Defense (LWAD) programs you will aide sustainment strategy and architecture building tasks for platforms, system and products within the department.

    In this role, you’re part of a larger team, collaborating with other Whole Life Engineering Directorate sustainment personnel in driving change and aligning strategic growth plans ranging from development to legacy systems while maintaining company policy and procedures.

    This position will work with domestic and international customers as well as with Raytheon partnered products with other defense organizations.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Lead a multi-functional sustainment team consisting of indirect reports who are responsible for the following:
    • Contract execution including scope of work, cost, performance, schedule and risk management
    • Estimate At Completion (EAC) reviews
    • Financial and Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
    • Government Finished Property (GFP) inventory management
    • Field activity support
    • Organic and International Depot level maintenance
    • Shared product management
    • Engineering, reliability, logistics services
    • Full product service life surveillance and life extension planning
    • Compliance with customer policies, specifications, and requirements
    • Continuous product and support improvement
    • Conduct briefings and reporting to senior management and customer
    • Strategic planning and execution for long-term, affordable operational readiness support to exceed Warfighter needs
    • Collaborate and implement best practice solutions across multiple business areas, programs and functional organizations

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    Typically Requires: 

    • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required. 
    • Experience with Sustainment, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, or Project Management in a military or civilian environment
    • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or managing program cost, schedule, and performance
    • Experience with risk and opportunity management processes
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Knowledge of DoD Contract execution, processes, and procedures
    • Solid knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and RTX Export and Import processes and procedures
    • Proven leadership experience managing a large diverse team while executing logistics, depot, and sustainment activities
    • Strong skillsets in planning, negotiating, and closing of multi-million-dollar contracts
    • Able to function independently and make complex decisions under extreme time constraints in an extremely fast-paced environment
    • Experience presenting technical information
    • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in writing and verbally and manage customer expectations/relationships
    • Innovative skillset to implement creative solutions while achieving internal and external customer collaboration
    • Demonstrated history of meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations
    • Ability to problem solve and implement strategic solutions throughout product life cycle
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, including ability to keep larger product line and company focus
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively engage at all levels of the organization in order to achieve program goals
    • Demonstrated understanding of RTX products and processes including other WLE disciplines
    • Program Management Level 6 certification or ability to achieve PM Level 5 certification within one year
