    Raytheon Solipsys, located in Fulton, MD is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Raytheon Technologies (RTX) within the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Business Unit specializing in the development of U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps command and control software systems and operates in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced business environment with both commercial and Government customers, including a mix of domestic and international pursuits and programs.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented professional system and network administrator with both Unix/Linux and Windows system administration and network administration experience as we expand our internal IT team to support our corporate infrastructure and various lab environments.

    The selected candidate will provide System Administration in support of the corporate infrastructure, building and patching systems, troubleshooting issues related to customer/program lab environments, and hardening of systems per cyber compliance requirements. Perform network administration support in creating networks and vlans and additionally, subnetting and routing within labs and providing troubleshooting expertise to diagnose issues that may present itself within lab environments.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Linux system administration of corporate and lab/program related systems
    • Windows system administration of corporate and lab/program related systems
    • Virtualization host administration
    • Basic network administration, VLAN creation, switch upgrades
    • Coordination of change management requests related to assigned systems
    • Documentation of systems and configurations
    • Ability to work in office as needed in Fulton, MD

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • 4 years of professional Unix/Linux administrative experience
    • 4 years of professional Windows administrative experience in an enterprise domain environment
    • Experience with virtualization technologies including vSphere, KVM, or Hyper-V
    • Experience with networking concepts, OSI model, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and VLANs
    • Experience with basic cybersecurity concepts and vulnerability management
    • Experience with hardening per NISPOM, RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-171, etc
    • Experience with multi-factor authentication system administration (tokens, smart cards, etc)
    • Security+ Certification
    • US Citizenship

    The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Self-driven and highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate well in oral and written form
    • Familiarity with Container technologies, DevOps concepts, and/or software development experience
    • Proficiency in scripting via bash and/or Powershell or similar
    • A Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Redhat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), VMWare VCP, or other industry relevant certifications
    • Advanced relevant Degrees

    Typically requires:

    A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

    Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
