Systems Engineers will support operational teams as part of a larger team which utilizes a diverse dynamic team, including many authorities in their fields.
Job Location: This position is an onsite role – Near Springfield, VA

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Learn and assist in implementation of real-time command and control and mission planning activities to satisfy customer requirements
Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to validate operational requirements performance
Create and or implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems
Cross-train in other operational positions as assigned and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team
Support test activities as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering – Aerospace, Systems, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of two years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to apply critical thinking toward problem-solving in time-critical situations
Must have the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and overtime on a regular basis
Must have demonstrated experience with executing assigned tasks to meet technical goals
An active and in-scope TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing/receiving training to/from a wide range of learning techniques and styles
Proficient use of both Windows and Unix platforms
Experience with Perl, Python and or other scripting languages
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
