Systems Engineering II (Onsite)

Systems Engineers will support operational teams as part of a larger team which utilizes a diverse dynamic team, including many authorities in their fields.

Job Location: This position is an onsite role – Near Springfield, VA

Not Relocation Eligible – Relocation assistance not available

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Learn and assist in implementation of real-time command and control and mission planning activities to satisfy customer requirements

• Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to validate operational requirements performance

• Create and or implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems

• Cross-train in other operational positions as assigned and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team

• Support test activities as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering – Aerospace, Systems, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of two years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to apply critical thinking toward problem-solving in time-critical situations

• Must have the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and overtime on a regular basis

• Must have demonstrated experience with executing assigned tasks to meet technical goals

• An active and in-scope TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing/receiving training to/from a wide range of learning techniques and styles

• Proficient use of both Windows and Unix platforms

• Experience with Perl, Python and or other scripting languages

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
