In anticipation of an upcoming contract award, RI&S is posting this opportunity
Raytheon Technologies is looking for a Technical Platform Support specialist to support our customer's operational requirements on a mission focused program located in the Northern Virginia area. The Technical Platform Support Specialist will be a key member of the Support team and expected to be proactive and have strong communication skills, and the ability to identify the root causes of technical issues.
Key responsibilities:
Provide expertise for operational platform management
Be part of collaborative activities that include interacting with internal and external customers and providing solutions to the team’s technical resources
Provide root cause analysis documentation to address performance management issues
Work closely with developers in troubleshooting issues and to ensure Platform meets the needs and requirements of the customer
Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation of processes and procedures for various systems administrated by the Platform Support team
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields or technologies
Experience with the installation and maintenance of one or more Platform technologies
Experience in deploying applications for high availability, scaling and resiliency
Experience in task planning, profiling after action data analysis and sponsor resource management
Experience supporting enterprise class and highly available applications with a demonstrated ability to identify areas for continuous improvement
Experience in performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and operation of various Platform systems and solve technical problems
Ability to use collaboration tools such as GoToMeeting, WebEx, Zoom, Skype, etc.
Able to communicate and collaborate closely with engineering and other technical teams to understand technical trade-offs and architecture to identify technical solutions
Desired skills:
- Experience working in administration of data platforms and tools such as AWS, Azure, Spark, Tableau, and Hadoop
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or any related field, with a minimum of five (5) years or relevant experience.
