    The Pratt & Whitney Airfoil & Isothermal Forge Module Center is looking for a Technical Trainer to develop, implement and administer technical training for manufacturing operations. In addition, this position will focus on the creation and administration of a training program that focuses on improving the technical competencies of manufacturing employees, while reducing training cycle time. This includes, but is not limited to, managing training growth, creating, and fostering training partner relationships, establishing traditional and blended learning solutions, monitoring training KPIs, and defining procedural aspects related to technical training. Training materials should be designed in multiple delivery formats, i.e., online, classroom, plus on-job-training.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate computer system training, products and services, and policies and procedures with primary focus on assigned content area
    • Develop, stage, and maintain realistic training data in technical training simulations for trainee use and demonstration of all functions
    • Troubleshoot and resolve live issues, identifies solutions / answers and distributes to trainees and appropriate stakeholders
    • Assess employee skills, monitors, and reports progress, and makes development recommendations to supervisors
    • Assist in the development and delivers content for technical and non-technical content through a variety of mediums, with the primary focus on instructor-led facilitation
    • Support facilitation and design of content for a training program for various business units
    • Ensure appropriate tools are employed to effectively present the learning materials in a technically proficient manner
    • Ensure that learning objectives and member goals are delivered and met through assessments
    • Evaluate employee performance and develops strategies to coach employees to expected performance levels
    • Active involvement in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to meet training objectives
    • Partner with outside vendors to deliver training on new and existing equipment, processes and competencies
    • Assure compliance with training documentation procedures
    • Update curriculum and content as needed

    Basic Qualifications:

    • HS Diploma or GED
    • US Citizenship required due to government contract
    • 5+ years Machining or Quality experience or 4 years Machining or Quality with Technical Certificate/Post-Secondary Degree in related field
    • Proven experience delivering and designing technical and non-technical trainings courses in a manufacturing setting
    • Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, consultative, analytical) working with all levels of an organization
    • Strong training background
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent communication, presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal oversight

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Train-the-Trainer
    • ACE Associate
    • Advanced Blueprint interpretation and GD&T skills.
    • Lean Sigma 6 Certification
    • Technical Certificate/Post-Secondary Degree in related field
