Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) is currently seeking an Engineering Leader to join the Test Systems Sensors Solutions Team with experience in engineering management, design, test, and integration. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge in a relevant area of electrical engineering and an understanding of the impact of this work on other areas of the organization. In addition, you should demonstrate organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Manage a section of 15 to 20 engineers.
Tasks will include resource and manpower planning, career development of employees, performance and appraisal evaluations, developing training curricula, technical mentoring, and leadership skill development.
Other responsibilities include technical problem solving, project leadership, proposal writing, pursuing new business, managing budgets and schedules as the leader of development teams, and leading organizational initiatives.
Work closely with other section leaders, the department leader, the program management office, senior managers, senior staff engineers, systems engineers, and other development team members.
All these job responsibilities are to be executed in harmony with Raytheon's Code of Business Ethics and Conduct policy which set the standard by which we operate and how we treat others.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years or prior relevant experience OR a Master's in STEM and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience leading functional or cross-disciplinary teams
Experience with test hardware, software and/or firmware development spanning multiple disciplines (Power, RF, Analog, Digital)
Experience managing cost, schedule and/or budget
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with electrical hardware design
10+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of Raytheon policies and procedures
Experience in line management or Integrated Product Team leadership
Experience with manpower planning and staffing forecasts
Experience developing hardware in a DoD environment
Experience with DoD contract proposal activities and bidding process
Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems
Active secret clearance
