Job Responsibilities

Collins Aerospace and its Propeller Systems Service Engineering Department are seeking a Test Engineer. The Test Engineer provides Engineering guidance and direction for the testing of jet engine hydro-mechanical fuel controls and actuators in the Mechanical Engine Systems business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain Test Rigs and environments
• Qualify new or existing product on Test Rigs utilizing technical data
• Work closely with Test Operators to troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Program test rigs using rig-specific language
• Create qualification timelines and actions using MS Project or related software
• Review Test Rig schematics to provide technical guidance
• Develop and/or improve test requirements documents

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
• Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with hydro-mechanical controls/actuators and related Test Rigs
• Prior experience with Bauer Test Rigs ATS/MTS software or LabVIEW
• Prior experience using MS Project or related software
• SAP experience or ERP system knowledge strongly preferred
• Experience in the use of typical Microsoft Office programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Explorer
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

In compliance with Connecticut Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $89,000 - $189,000 however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills
