Windows System Administrator (New Grad)

Position Overview:

Collins Aerospace is seeking an entry-level system administrator eager to grow their skills to help support our Windows Server and VMware Infrastructure.  The Windows System Administrator position will provide installation support, day-to-day operations, and troubleshooting in the Windows and VMware environments managed by Digital technologies.  This position will coordinate with cyber security, compliance, networks, storage and backups, application owners, and business units for troubleshooting, vulnerability mitigation, installations, and upgrades.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows Servers.

•Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VMware vSphere and ESXi hosts.

•Vulnerability mitigation.

•Vendor coordination.

•Installation and maintenance of physical servers

•Periodic inventory and documentation updating.

•Periodic off-hour maintenance of servers and hardware.

Basic Qualifications:

•Must be team-oriented with the willingness to assist the team with any task

•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

•Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

•Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

•VMware VCP certification

•Windows Server 2016 MCSA certification

•Experience with Dell and HP hardware a plus

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree.

Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by

local laws/regulations.
