Collins Aerospace is looking for a Work Transfer Manager to lead a team of professionals dedicated to the transition of products between suppliers while mitigating risk to Mission Systems. This position will network across organizations such as Sourcing/Procurement, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Supplier Quality to remove obstacles. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to influence parties within and outside of the job function.
Must be a commutable distance from Cedar Rapids, IA to work a hybrid schedule reporting on-site as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure the use of and compliance to MIS-PRO-0003 (Mission Systems Work Transfer Procedure)
Facilitate the successful handoff from a project initiator to the Work Transfer Team to ensure efficient execution.
Oversee the timely execution of transition project to realize planned cost savings.
Set objectives and guides others on execution/approach for achievement of operational results.
Guide team members in making appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan and schedule, including removing obstacles to accomplishing that schedule and acting as a part of the escalation chain to eliminate obstructions.
Consolidate and present progress reports relating to business aspects of the project to many levels of leadership.
Ensure milestone deliverables to the Gated Work Transfer process for all active projects, such as FAI, production test, drawing review, supplier risk assessments, inventory overlap plan and supplier contracts are completed to successfully transfer the work package on schedule.
Effectively communicate and/or present status to key stakeholders as required within Supply Chain and the SBU
Assist with organizational goal development and KPI tracking.
Facilitate professional development of individual Team members.
Represent the Work Transfer team during internal and external process audits.
Review processes and procedures to indefinity and execute opportunity for continuous improvements.
Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Must have strong communication skills and be results driven, candidate must be comfortable in providing project updates to many levels of the organization.
