    Job Summary

    The Automotive Aftermarket (AA) channel has a great opportunity for an Automotive Application Technician (Technical Rep) who will be directly responsible for providing technical support and training to the end user network; including major regional opportunities with specific responsibilities at the multi-shop operators and national consolidator level. This person will be able to apply the skill, know-how, and experience in the areas of product performance and product application to exhibit our products’ performance based on our customers’ needs and compared to our competition. The Technical Representative will focus on key multi-shop operator accounts to ensure we are meeting designated efficiency goals within the company’s product categories; and training/implementing agreed upon standard operating procedures. The incumbent will also train the sales team for their specific market on all products, applications, and support tools. This position functions in a critical space to support growth initiatives. This position serves as a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the business. The overall mission of this position is to travel a large geography in the assigned territory in support of our selling efforts. Time will be sent putting on sanding, finishing demonstrations and facilitating training of how to showcase our growing product portfolio.

    Required Qualifications

    • Interested candidates should have prior field experience with a strong technical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and interest in automotive refinishing. • Prior selling experiences a plus. • The incumbent should have at minimum, a High School Diploma. • A successful candidate should have 3-5 years’ of Collision Industry experience; and knowledge of repair processes along with a working knowledge of estimating systems. • Must be able to present and conduct hands-on training at all customer levels. • Preferred candidate has well developed presentation skills and will be able to demonstrate prior public speaking experience. • Must have a proficient level of ability in Microsoft Office, contact management, Salesforce and other forms of data management and analysis is necessary. • Candidates must have an interest in fieldwork and regular demonstration and promotion of an automotive aftermarket product line. • This position requires a self-starting, highly motivated, individual who works well in both a team environment and thrives on individual achievement and operates comfortably and successfully with minimal supervision. • Travel is up to 70%. • Territory coverage for this role will be include: Northern California, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Western Washington State & Northern Oregon Interested candidates should reside in either Western Washington State or Northern Oregon to allow for effective coverage.
