The Compression Molding Operator will perform tasks associated with the production of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial industries.
This position will set-up all required mold tooling and materials per work order instructions. In addition, this role will be responsible for operating molding presses, handling tool equipment, and forklift operations to perform job duties.
The role is responsible for running production orders safely while maintaining the quality of molded products.
3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday, 10:30pm-7:00am
Pay: $17+ plus $2.50 Shift Differential
Essential Functions Include:
Work in a manner that complies with all site policies and procedures, actively demonstrate SG principles of conduct & action, and adhere to all EHS requirements
Read work orders to understand and meet customer specifications
Set up molds and maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following manufacturer’s instructions
Maintain drawing specifications by monitoring dimensional and visual characteristics to detect non-conformances
Keep a clean work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures
Contribute ideas and suggestions on improvement opportunities
Follow instructions and procedures carefully
Record data, record and report problems as they arise
Report defective material or equipment problems to lead or engineer, as directed
Successfully perform all duties above for minimum of 18 months
Perform complex troubleshooting with little or no supervision
Contribute to the team by performing other duties as needed

6+ months' experience working in a manufacturing environment (Required)
Forklift Experience and certification (Required)
High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
Previous compression molding experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work in above average temperatures.
Maintain high attendance standards.
Bending, reaching, kneeling, standing, lifting
Required to move 55 gallon drums weighing up to 100 pounds using a hand truck
Required to handle steel tooling up to ~70lbs
Must be able to visually inspect parts for defects; good eyesight
Required to work on concrete surfaces
Required to work with noisy equipment; hearing protection is provided
Exposures to dust include: nuisance dusts controlled by collection dust collectors.
